CERA published the first edition of Gasoline and the American People over a decade ago, during the first
Gulf Crisis, when major disruption threatened the security of world oil supplies right down to the retail market.
The timing of this fourth edition is driven by the current high price levels and volatility, the need for a framework to understand the global oil market, and confusion about the determinants of price--from crude oil through to what consumers pay at the pump.
