OVERVIEW

IHS CERA is pleased to announce the Mexico Energy Executive Roundtable in Mexico City on November 17^th, 2010.

The Mexico Energy roundtable will cover topics that our members most value, including CERA’s analysis on Pemex business plan, its financial requirements, challenges and the possibilities opened by the newly approved Pemex Law.   In addition, the session will include discussions facilitated by the CERA team on the impact of lower gas prices brought by US shale gas supplies in Mexico and the possibilities of biofuels and fuel diversification as a means to maintain energy security.

The Roundtable will address the following key questions:

• What are the financial and technical requirements of the Pemex business plan? To what extent will the new Pemex Law enable Pemex to secure these resources?
• What role will the private industry play in the execution of Pemex business plan?
• What implications will have for Mexico the US shale gas revolution?
• How will imported LNG prices evolve in the foreseeable future?
• To what extent depressed Henry Hub prices will affect the viability of domestic gas production under service contracts?
• To what extent will fuel diversification mitigate rapidly declining oil production and the need to import refined products?
• What would be the cost and challenges of implementing an ethanol program in Mexico?
